My Portfolio 📊
Brief Thoughts on Investing 💭
I tend to think diversification is often just an excuse for a lack of research and employed by investors at large firms because it’s what they learned at college - “if you have a hammer, every problem looks like a nail”.
If you have a good investment idea and believe it’ll do well in the future then there’s no reason not to buy it. Likewise, if you have 50 good investment ideas and order them from best to worst, if you buy the first 10 and feel you’re diversified enough for you, why buy ideas 11 - 50?
I’m not saying this is the “right way”, it’s just the way that’s worked for me in the past and helped me to beat the market. So I like to hold a pretty aggressive portfolio with well-researched positions and where I feel I can understand the company’s business and why it’ll do well.
But anyway, with that out of the way, let’s have a look at the portfolio…
